Tornavacas (Cáceres) will commemorate the visit of Emperor Charles V to that villa as he did there on November 11, 1556. For two days (November 8 and 9) a program of activities will be developed, that includes theatrical performances, historical talks and guided routes to the village to get to know better its culture, customs and architecture.
In addition to a Renaissance market, Tornavacas will host an imperial parade that will end with the speech of Emperor Charles V to the population, before being accompanied to the house where he spent the night in his visit to the villa.
Also, on Saturday at 16:15 there is a performance of the Troxiello Polyphonic Choir in the church of Our Lady of the Assumption, which will be open for those who wish to visit it throughout the morning.
